You’ve heard of high school sweethearts, but how often have you heard of JUNIOR high school sweethearts? Victoria and Bridger’s love story could have come straight out of a movie. The type of movie you settle in to watch, not only for a good smile and a happy feeling, but also the type of movie you know you will shed a few tears during. Happy tears of course. Because as these two stood together, moments away from being man and wife, reading to each other their hand written vows, there were not too many dry eyes in the room.
But let me back up. Many years previous, in junior high, Tori and Bridger started dating. It was a fun, young, fresh love kind of dating. Tori was in the 7th grade and Bridger was in the 8th. They stayed together much longer than your average pre teen romance. In fact, they did not break up until they both moved far away, Tori to Georgia and Bridger to Arizona. It’s hard to keep a relationship alive from that distance at that age. Although they were not together anymore, they never forgot each other.
Fast forward several years. Bridger had moved back to Utah and Tori was graduating early from high school. She too was about to move back to Utah to go to school. The first day Tori arrived they decided to get together and hang out. It was as if they never were separated. Sparks flew immediately and their junior high romance all of a sudden became a grown up kind of love. These two knew right away that what they had found as pre teens, was not your average young love. What they had found was real and had even stood the test of time. They knew there was no one else they would rather share the rest of their lives with.
Utah in the spring can be unpredictable. You never know if it will be cold, warm, sunny, rainy or even snowy. It was as if the weather collaborated just for these two. The day of their wedding was a sunny, warm beautiful day, nestled right in-between stormy cold ones. It truly couldn’t have been more perfect! It was such an honor to be there celebrating with Tori and Bridger’s family and closest friends. They have close families who you could tell love them and are beyond thrilled for them to be starting their journey together as husband and wife!
