It is often said by the officiant during the ceremony that the couple will not remember any of the words they say. There are many other things going through the bride and groom’s heads that it is no wonder this is true. I don’t remember a word of what was said when we were married. I’m guessing this is most likely the case for Eric and Kendra. And that’s okay.
What they will remember are the feelings they had when they took each other by the hand. When they looked into each other’s eyes and when their smiles slowly grew larger on their faces. When they said their vows and were pronounced man and wife. Their first kiss as a married couple as their family and closest friends looked on with big smiles of their own.
Although the words which were spoken during the ceremony were full of wisdom, hope and joy, the other memories and feelings will be what comes back to them as they remember this beautiful day in June when they became man and wife.
Kendra and Eric’s wedding day was not the way they had originally envisioned it to be. Their plans were changed. Their temple wedding and large reception shifted to a simple yet lovely backyard ceremony with only their closest friends and relations with them. It may not have been their first choice, but it was perfect. I couldn’t have imagined it any better.
Being with Eric and Kendra is comfortable and fun, almost like spending time with old friends. Smiles come easy for them when they are together, making our job all the easier. We are excited for them to be married and beginning their journey together. Enjoy some of our favorites from their intimate backyard wedding.
