Chemistry is such a funny word. Chemistry, with a capital C, in high school reminds me of atoms and their electrons spinning uselessly around in my mind. Then everything shifts with a lower case c: chemistry in a movie is what gives that extra little pop of excitement to a relationship. For Chloe and Sergio, their chemistry began in Chemistry and that is only the beginning of a really great bond (This is the end of the Chemistry jokes, I promise.).
Later, after high school, the two vacationed in Utah to visit family. Chloe felt pretty certain that Sergio would propose on the trip, but Sergio pulled off the most stealthy proposal. For any gentlemen out there, if you really want to surprise your girlfriend, choose a long hike, on a hot sweaty day, and wear workout clothes. Make sure it ends at a beautiful waterfall, and cross your fingers that her answer will be just like Chloe’s: Yes!
Chloe and Sergio are both in Utah now for school, and they’ve faced their share of obstacles since they’ve moved, namely a big nasty virus that resulted in postponing their wedding. But still, they’re full of smiles and optimism about their wedding in the fall and very bright future. Ryan and I got to see some of that during our session at Thanksgiving Point. We felt lucky to be surrounded by the waterfalls and flowers and gorgeous vistas that are perfect for engagement photos. The best part, though, was seeing Sergio and Chloe in the middle of it, happy, in love, and calm together in the middle of the pandemic storm.
