Thanksgiving break is a time that many college students look forward to. A break from classes, tests, obnoxious roommates. A chance to get away from campus for awhile. This particular Thanksgiving was especially anticipated by both Ryan and Amberly. They were looking forward to their trip to California with Ryan’s family.

Utah Fall Family Session
A Tale of Two Blind Dates
Blind date number one: When I was a teenager, one of my favorite teachers set me and a friend up with her two younger brothers. In retrospect, this is already sounding like a bad idea. But at that point, I was ready for whatever adventure crossed my path. Except, of course, the adventure that involved my date ditching me after 30 minutes, and me being a third wheel for a looong evening. Not the best night of my life.
Utah Mountains Family Session
We are trying to hang on to every moment we have left with this perfect fall weather. We always wish it would last longer. We enjoyed the most perfect sunny autumn day for this beautiful family session. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. We especially lucked out because the very next morning we woke up to snow and record breaking cold temperatures!
Downtown Provo City Family Session
And just like that fall is gone. We are happy we were able to get a couple more fall sessions in before this crazy Utah snow storm moved in. This beautiful family being one of them. Everything about this evening was perfect, from the lovely glowing light, to the changing colors of the trees, the warm weather, to the awesome family we got to hang out with. This is Ryan’s sister’s family and we love when they come into town to visit! Enjoy some of our favorites from their downtown Provo session.
Utah Fields Family Session
One of our favorite benefits of doing photography are the relationships we get to build with those we photograph. Each couple and every family are all so different from each other. We have photographed a lot of people over the past several years and through all that time there has not been a single person we have not enjoyed being with. This family was no exception!
Harvest Park Wedding - Maycen + Bryson
There is a moment in every wedding day, a moment that we as photographers look forward to. But before that wonderful moment, there is organized chaos. There are nerves, anxiety, and butterflies. Quick glances at the clock, and hope. Then, in a flash, it happens. The stress melts away, and the peace comes. There is relief that everything is going to work out fine. In the wonderful moment, everything becomes real.
Bicentennial Park Family Session
It’s that time of the year. The time where you wake up every day to a crisp cold morning and then wait and see if it will continue to be chilly the rest of the day or if the sun will shine, warming the air to the perfect fall temperature. The day we spent with this beautiful family ended up being the later of the two. The perfect sunshiny autumn day!
