There is a certain day in Utah that comes around every year. The day when many of the beautiful fall colors are already gone, yet if you search you can find that hidden spot where they are still at their peak. Their vibrant and stunning colors shining bright! The day that always happens to be one of the last with perfect weather. The day before the early random snow storm hits.
That day is almost impossible to predict, but inevitably happens every year. If you live in Utah, you no doubt know exactly what day I am talking about.
Well this wonderful family session just so happened to be planned on that perfect day. The leaves were showing off their vibrant hues at the base of Santaquin canyon. The sun was shining and left us all at that comfortable temperature of “not to hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.” The next morning we woke up to snow, which lasted most of the day. But on THAT day, everything was exactly right for a stunning photo session with the most incredible family! We couldn’t have timed it more perfectly.
We loved every minute with the M family! Their oldest daughter had been called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and in just a few days would be leaving for the next 18 months. So we are especially happy we were able to take their family portraits before she left. As we were together they mentioned that it had been years since they had professional family photos done. We are honored they trusted us to capture their sweet family. Enjoy some of our favorites from our time together.
